Why I built Halved

One evening I saw my daughter, Lavinia, trying to read a passage for her English homework. Her dyslexia made it impossible for her.

So I read it to her and everything changed. Her answers were brilliant. The intelligence was always there. It just needed someone to remove the barrier at the right moment.

Then I left the room. And when I came back, it had all collapsed again.

I searched for something that could be that presence for her. Something that could understand how she learned and would guide her thinking rather than just give her the answers.

I found nothing. So I built it.

No student should have to face that moment alone.
That is why Halved exists.
